The SCP Foundation stands for Secure Contain Protect Foundation. The main goal of our organization is to keep the world normal for civilians. To understand more about how we work, first thing you need to realize that the world, in fact, is full of unknown and dangerous, incomprehensible to the mind of an ordinary person.

The same toaster in your kitchen may turn out to be an anomalous object, ready to roast you at any moment it suits him. If the object is abnormal, our specialized Mobile Task Force team will Secure it and send it to the one of many Foundation area's for containing. After the Contain step, our research team, represented by Scientists and Class-D members, will explore it and find out whether it is possible to destroy it, or use it for personal purposes to improve the world. To Protect our world, if it's destroyable - we will destroy it. If it's not - we'll contain until disposal is possible.

We call all anomalous objects SCP and give them numbers to keep track of. You may already be familiar with SCPs such as SCP-049, SCP-096, SCP-106, SCP-173, SCP-914. But I hasten to assure you that there are many more unknown dangers in the world that you can imagine. At the moment there are more than 7000 known SCPs, but who knows, maybe tomorrow your dog under the influence of the unknown SCP, which is buried deep in the bowels of the earth, will turn into a cat...
